Governor of the Bank of England

Following the recent announcement that Mark Carney, the Governor of the Bank of England, will address delegates attending the Northern Powerhouse Business Summit, part of Great Exhibition of the North, we’re delighted to add that his speech will also be streamed live at FinanceCamp.

This is a rare opportunity for North East businesses to have the chance to hear the Governor speak live at two major events in the region. It also builds on our work delivering Entrepreneurs of the North, where Northern businesses pitched to investors at the Bank of England in London.

Panel discussion

As part of the Innovation SuperNetwork’s ‘Women in Innovation’ programme aimed at tackling unconscious bias in business, the panel will discuss the importance of female angel investors in supporting business growth and likewise the need for increased investment in female-led ventures.

The panel will feature Angel Investor of the Year 2017, Meganne Houghton-Berry; CEO of Cadzow Estates, Helen Cadzow; Investment and Operations Director at Growth Capital Ventures, Jordan Dargue; and Campaign Associate at Seedrs, Scott Simpkin.
